Another thanks to the DA community! And to everyone who takes time to comment on my work
or even just looks at it XD This ones for eveyone! I really couldn't have improved the way I have wothout imput from you amazing people 2000 watchers- I still can hardly believe it! 2000 people want to know when I put art up, when I first joined I would never imagine it to be that many!
The lineart was done in Photoshop and the colouring in OpenCanvas, id say 40 hours were spent in total on her- a supprising ammount of that on the lineart, the colouring didnt seem to take to long in comparison... XD
I am pretty pleased with the resuts though
I think the colours are nice, the thing which -really- bugs me is that when she is flipped she looks lop-sided. From the right way round I can see little wrong, but when I flip it she looks like she had a fight with that peacock... and lost. It depends on you perception.. but to some of you guys shes going to look really weird...Pavo decorus- The title infact is the binomial name of this fictional breed of Peafowl. Most pecocks come under the genus Pavo. So does mine
then its species is decorus which a latin translator told me was latin for beautiful. So its like 'beautiful peacock' I thought it sounded quite nice and couldnt think of another title for this picture Lineart: www.deviantart.com/deviation/3…

The first thing I thought of was Juno, especially since the title is Latin. The things she gives to the peacock look kind of like eyes, and Juno was the one who have the peacock eyes for on it's feathers, so she decorated it. Decoratus means beautiful as in decorated, there are other Latin words for beautiful too.
She gave the peacock the eyes of her dog, who had a 1000 eyes. She told the dog to look after a girl she made into a cow, because her husband, Jupiter, wanted to cheat on her with that girl. Even though the dog had so many eyes, he didn't see Jupiter coming, and Jupiter stole the cow. Juno was angry with the dog, so he ripped its eyes out, and placed them upon the feathers of the peacock, her favourite bird.

I flipped it with paint, and yes, it does look good either way, but this way looks best

Well, I can't flip it, so I'll have to take your word for it on the fight-with-a-peacock... although I can't tell if you meant that the peacock ate her eye, because when I read that, that was the first thing I thought of XD
Awww, of course you have lots of watchers and faves and a DD *glomps* You're amazing! You have amazing lineart, colouring, and the detail (especially on the feathers and her eyelashes) is just outstanding!

The peacock here looks absolutely beautiful! It looks a lot friendlier than real peacocks though,lol.
