Kinda had this idea in my head, and it turned out pretty much as I pictured it
For Gaia Commission 3/3!! Luv ya girl!
Trying out this colouring style, but I'm having trouble being consistent >_<

Hello. I saw your post on Gaia I tough I'd critic.
The composition is very nice and I like the flowers. The hair howerver looks a bit flat. The'res no depth to them and they give me the impression of being pasted over the head instead of surrounding it. Maybe a less regular, more contrasting shading would solve this proble. The neck position also look a bit unatural. Maybe you could look for photo of this pose or ask someone to pose for you.
I love the way you textured water. The pale white ripples are a nice touch but the bolder white arc are a bit too flashy for my taste. The could use a bit more work too. The arcs aren't regular which make them look a bit messy compared to the smooth almost plastic like coloring of the rest of the picture.

aw thanks for the critic! Funny that after saying on gaia that no one commented a lot of people commented xD.
Now that you mentioned it, the hair does look flat. Someone said they were confused which direction it as going, horrizontally across or vertically down xD. I'm not so good with contrast I'm afraid! I'm afraid of the dark, in more ways than one!

hmm some people have commented that the face looks a bit funny. I think yeah, the nose looks a bit too skinny and angled? and the eyes maybe are a bit too close together xD

hehe I hope I don't make J too girly xD I can't help making characters girly :/ this is kinda how I imagined her character though, confident, cheeky and playful, but also elegant (though I probably didn't get the playful part into this one hehe)
