I found an old piece of lineart from a giant watercolour painting I did last semester. It was the piece that everyone was most impressed with, because I really proved to my professor that I was capable of being a good artist and having a commanding sense over my imagination without having to have had a large background in foundation classes. In anycase, I wanted to do a computer colouring of this piece and I changed a lot about it on the way.It was a painful process, not only because I haven't been colouring a lot lately, but also because I need a new mouse (I'm not fortunate enough to own a tablet) and it double-clicks a lot of the time that I aim to single-click.
There's a lot about this piece I like, but also that I want to change. This is just the result of all of my effort today.

I like this a lot the pose is cool and I like the texture and flow of the dress.
When I was in art clas manga/anime style drawing was frowned upon. It made me really sad that that style is not recognized by some professors as art, they just seem to look down at it so much and I just don't see why. But anyway, this is a lovely piece!

It's really nice and simple. My art teacher had a hard time with letting us draw anime too. I think she was getting sick of seeing it from a number of people, lol.
But it's good to see a prof that lets you try whatever you want. Her trying something new gets the students to learn something new, and isnt that the point of school?

It was funny; my professor let us be ourselves last semester. She said she was trying something new, even though the rest of the art department wasn't really comfortable with her doing that. At the end of the semester, she said that she was glad she let us express our own styles instead of binding us with some sort of pre-made curriculum. <3 Anyway, thank you very much!

That sounds awesome, I think I have to wait for like character design and storyboard classes before I'm allowed to do that though ^^ It sucks!
