This magnificent pegasus took the better part of a year to complete. Begining with the removal of his base, tail, mane, ears and post, repostioning of rear leg and slightly lowered head. Getting this model to balance without a foot base was the most challenging part of the process (even with the tail).
The tail and removable wings are completely original each feather individually sculpted over a wire and mesh skeleton to keep the balance just right.
I sculpted new longer ears, and gave him a feathered crest for a mane.
Then painted him in pearl white, blue, and purple. Gave him a satin top coat to accent the pearl colors and glossed his eyes.

I use apoxy sculpt over a wire and mesh skeleton.. usually one feather at a time.

If he was not so expensive I would go for him, as I love the colors and he is a true mix of horse and mystical bird, and he seems to speak volumes to me. But alas almost 500 is just to much for one on a fixed income.

If it wasn't for the time, energy, anxiety, and frustrations invested in him, he wouldn't be so highly priced. However, I do accept payments. This is the one and only time I will offer him for sale, I am quite attached to him.

If I was not working on paying off my new laptop I would take you up on the payment offer, As This guy pulls at my heart strings. He is just a glorious custom and cries out mystery and magic. His colors, his features. Those wonderfully sculpted wings and tail, everything bit about him and just amazing. I honestly hope you get to keep him, he could prob get you a couple ribbons in some shows.
