Description This is my mild resculpt and full repaint Breyer's Cigar model to a Native American Dun Pinto i call "Native Spirit".

I love the way this model is already streched out in a very dynamic capture of motion.
Changes made from the original include:
I adjusted the legs just enough to keep it's balance once I turned the neck and head.
Added some slight overgrowth to the hooves for balance and sticking with it's mustang freeroaming feel of the piece.
I added a more carefree mane and tail to this pinto, as I wanted it to feel as though it were charging wide-eyed into the wind.
My choice in it's paint scheme was arrived at through alot of thought of the earth's uninhibited nature, when not forced to the will of men.
I chose the dunning of the legs with thoughts of running through mud, and wet earth.
As far as the Pinto/Paint aspect of it's coat, I wanted the light whispy changes in color to speak to the spirit, or incorpreal nature of the piece.
It has one blue eye for clear skies it's chasing, and one brown for the coming storm it's retreating from.

Don't you have to stick these in the oven in order to remold them?

I don't. Depending on what I want to do & the model, I either cut & heat, or just heat the area with a hair dryer or a candle. That way only a small area is hot.
