“I find myself visiting Coconut Island quite often, when I’m able,… though it certainly has it’s share of dangers, it feels so much more peaceful than Nightshade Island. I also like seeing my friend, Hula Girl, the island’s protector,… I’m not sure why, but I feel a sort of kinship with other jungle and island guardians, like her,… kind of like kindred spirits,… as corny as that must sound.

This time visiting I decided to take part in an activity I enjoy on my own island, that I learned from a friendly tourist a long time ago,… surfing. A story for another time there.

Upon seeing me headed towards the beach, with my surfboard in hand, Hula Girl chuckled alittle, and insisted she could show me some great spots around her island where the waves would be perfect for me, and while she was at it maybe give me a bit of a tour of her island. I smiled and gladly accepted and before long Hula Girl was leading the way, as we walked along the beach.

Sun bright and warm in the sky, cool breeze blowing through our hair, surfboard in hand, friend by my side,… it would be really hard not to smile and feel good on such a beautiful day.”

A truly marvelously image that looks like it could be something right off of a postcard for Coconut Island. Such a pleasant and peaceful picture,… the beach beneath their feet, the gentle waves lapping at the shore, a glimpse of the jungle and perhaps the foot of the island’s volcano,… the little fluffy white clouds in the sky, and the bright sun shining overhead,… it truly does look like an ideal day on the island. Hula Girl and Ember look gorgeous,… I love how their hair is blowing in the wind, and the way the sun seems to glow off the edges of their lovely black, and red in Ember’s case, hair. The glinting of the sun off of Hula Girl’s bands and Ember’s surfboard is a lovely touch, as well as their leaves swaying in the breeze. I adore how happy and content they both look,… Ember with her subtle smile as she follows along a few steps behind Hula Girl, who shows the kind of smile that could light up a whole room, yet she still has her spear with her, just in case. It occurred to me that most of the regular style pictures I’ve had done of Ember are action or peril related, and I felt it was time for another more chill picture, with her just at peace. This also gave a chance to introduce her surfboard, an idea I had had for her for awhile, which Sho rendered beautifully, and which will undoubtedly show up here and there in future pictures. All in all, a great picture of these two lovely ladies, thank you very much for this, Sho.
