The sign is cleared off, and its words start to sink in, as Felicia herself is already sinking in. I love her expression, a beautiful depiction of that moment that realization starts, but hasn’t quite been reacted to just yet. Meanwhile, no big splash or sudden plunge to further alert her to danger, it feels like she just started slowly easing down into the soft squishy sands, clearly not even realizing it yet.
