Every one of us seeks, and needs, motivation to press on with our goals. Every one of us seeks, and needs, inspiration to shape those dreams. Nothing is out of reach unless we let it be so.

For as long as I have owned a camera I have wanted to visit White Sands National Monument in Alamogordo, New Mexico. Last month that dream came true. For years I have seen stunning images of this place and I knew that it was a place that would resonate with me in way that words cannot adequately shed light on. Now, having been there, I am even more in awe of the natural, unique beauty here. I cannot wait to return.

I loved wandering the vast dunes and enjoyed the seemingly endless views but, some of my favorite moments were finding small landscapes full of texture, detail, light, and shadow. Every scene left me full of emotion. The most powerful of them all was the realization that I MUST do more to make my dreams come true. I MUST do more to explore and create images that will continue to shape who I am as a person and as a photographer. I got this.
