Theodosius II and his beloved Chrysaphius Zstommas.The emperor Theodosius was passionately in love with Chrysaphius since he was extremely handsome.
Theodosius II, commonly surnamed Theodosius the Younger, or Theodosius the Calligrapher, was Byzantine Emperor from 408 to 450. The son of Emperor Arcadius.
Chrysaphius, was a eunuch at the Eastern Roman court, who became the chief minister of Theodosius II, and his favorite and lover. Effectively the ruler of the empire during his ascendancy, he pursued a policy of appeasement towards the Huns.

I think Chrysaphius is my favourite eunuch from your gallery, Bagoas a close second. Chrys's history is definitely something to look into. I hope to see more of him in the future.
Just wondering, I’ve read about how Byzantine eunuchs were usually foreigners and it made me wonder what ethnicity/origin Chrysaphius was, but I couldn’t find anything on it. I’m wondering if you know?

Chrysaphius is also dear to me, I have planned several more art with him, when inspiration comes, I will finish drawing that ^^
In some of the sources, Chrysaphius was called a barbarian, so he was a foreigner. I guess he could be from the Caucasus (Abkhazia) or from the Balkans. I'm not sure So, about him a little personal information, so sorry
I like the idea that he is from the Caucasus, because in Byzantium many eunuchs were from there.
