Don't worry she's probably kicking herself over what she didn't say.

Oh god...this is exactly how I am right now. i have just one friend whom I am truly open with, and I'm terrified to lose her.

I've been on the flip of this. I know there are things one of my friends did (to me) that I honestly should get an apology for. (and I was planning on not talking to him til I actually got it) BUT things came up, and he needed someone to be a good friend, so I let go my pride of knowing I deserved that apology, and was a good friend. Sometimes pride goes both ways in the situation.
Now, I feel this is something that someone should have just gone and tried to talk to the other person about whats going on and actually FIX things rather than take the time to get it posted here. Just my opinion.

I'm not keen on these things but hey-ho you can't argue with what people favour (as random as it seems to be)
I'm on the other side of this (being the girl that needs an apology) sometimes, pride is difficult to break, but really and truly what I want to hear is that the person cares about me more than they care about their pride. So if you prove to her you can let that drop, somehow, that's the way you're going to win her back. If you were close friends you're probably both torn up about this, so just prove how sorry you are, how she is more important that yourself, and that without her friendship it's hard to carry on. as it should be if you're posting things on here about it, i dont understand why you don't use poetry or journals or something creative this is just naff.
You don't get much done by complaining, if you're unhappy go do something about it. You are not a tree.

Art? That iut may be. Depressing some art can be. I think the better term IS "boring". Terry Pratchett's Discworld novels are great fun to read. The dialogue is art in its own right. However, after 40+ different novels written by him, containing much of the same content, one is pressed to bring in new ideas. Deviant Secret has over 10,000 secrets. And alot of them are depressing echoes of the mind. Are you really that suprised to see such unoriginality after that long?
That said, I just avoid DeviantArtSecret. I do not clamber to speak about my unhappiness. Theyll eventually go under if enough people dont want them here. *shrug*

I agree. Props for posting a negative comment here, since most people who do voice their contrasting opinions end up getting bombarded with "Baw ur so crool,u just jelly!" comments -.-

Haha, I don't mean to be negative, I'm a pretty happy person, but I don't want DeviantArt to be completely filled with these. It's not fair for the actually artists that work hard to not have a shot because someone has decided their life is completely horrible and there's no possible happiness in store for them -.-

some people need DeviantSecret to vent and get advice
It is not your place to judge these people or to use their pain and hurt and fear for your own amusement.

And Deviant is the place for this?
This is an art site. Not a post a bunch of depressing stuff and take the places on front pages instead of artists that deserve it...

AnnePrower In reply to Wonnderlandd [2013-05-18 22:08:48 +0000 UTC]
DeviantArtSecrect is a place for this, or at least it is trying to be
Popular artists get on the front page, the person who posted this deserves to get on the front page as much as anyone else. Do not take out your jealousy on someone who is hurting.
Art can be and often is depressing, if you say that it should be otherwise, then you do not have an appreciation for what art is for.

Yeah, yeah. Sorry, I'll keep my jealousy on wanting to keep DeviantArt a happy place to myself:') Aren't you so great at advice giving...?!

Wtf? How do they "deserve" to get on the front page when they are anon?
They def don't deserve shit, and actual artists don't deserve to see this shit everyday. It's annoying as hell. BTW- it's not art, at least if you're going to bash someone get it right.
art
/Γ€rt/
Noun
The expression or application of human creative skill and imagination, typically in a visual form such as painting or sculpture,...: "the art of the Renaissance"
Works produced by such skill and imagination.
-
litΒ·erΒ·aΒ·ture
/Λlit(Ι)rΙCHΙr/
Noun
Written works, esp. those considered of superior or lasting artistic merit: "a great work of literature".
Books and writings published on a particular subject: "the literature on environmental epidemiology".
I'm sure posting anonymously to some pathetic "secrets" group took a lot of effort and skill~! NOT.
Also, if you want to vent, go to a therapist. They went to college to hear people's shit.

Oh my god, this is pretty much perfect! I completely agree though, how the flipping hell is this art?! Anyone can go on paint and put some words on a background. No talent, thought, or work has been put on this at all. Just another sad person that isn't trying at all to be happy but would rather just bring people down because their life is obviously the worst, couldn't get better and no one else is possibly got problems either!:C

It's not the fact the it's unoriginal, it's just the fact that it is so GD annoying and on the front page everyday.
BTW, if it's depressing, that doesn't mean it is art by any means, even if it contains some words.
It's just someone whining about life and who aren't ballsy enough to post it un-anonymously.

So talk to her and apologize for your behavior; tell her you didn't mean for it to come out the way it did, and find a different way to say (or do) whatever it is.
