I told myself I was completely fine. I wore the mask for so long I started to believe it, until one day the mask fractured, and I broke with it. This is exactly how I feel. thank you for the wonderful art.

Thanks for your concern. It's really kind and I didn't know there was a person who felt the same way. I'm very unstable and hiding behind a mask just makes everything better but the same time not. But anyway, Thanks

I can relate. I feel like an actor without a background. The worst thing is that I don't just have 1 mask, I have like 6 or 7 of them. I don't even know if my real feelings are just another mask too.

Well, I've been trough something similar... I've been wearing a mask for 12 years with people I know, so when I finally ''got rid of them'' (we went separated ways) I (thought) started being myself... After some time though it turned out I couldn't recognize myself any more! I got used to the mask and now I feel uncomfortable (I don't hate myself it is just strange and unusual, I liked the mask more in a way) being the way I am... Even if it seemed right at first, and now people know me for what I am and I can't put on my mask again and change all of a sudden... It's like the mask is broken and I have to ''rebulid'' myself...

I know how you feel. I have multiple masks I hide behind. Some are pretty and others are rather repulsive. I truly don't know if I'll be able to get rid of every single one of them because I can't help but feel afraid of what others will say.

This story has two sides. On one side we are indeed nothing - there is endless space to decide what you want to become. On the other side - who you are is determined by what you do. To conclude this, you can change who you are every second in life.

Even then, you could change your behaviour without actually destroying anything - don't feel guilty for changing. We all evolve during life. You could go back to being the person you used to be, but you could just become someone new altogether - and the latter isn't necessarily wrong.
I don't think there are a lot of people who are able to look 'behind their own masks', by the way. If we are really more than who we seem to be to ourselves.

Everyone goes through this stage in life. It really is emptiness. Emptiness however creates space for you to decide what and who you want to become. Trust me when I say things can become even more awesome than the way it was you remember.

Then take off the mask and look into the mirror. You don't
need to be scared. Everything will be alright. Just give the world, give life, and give people a second chance.
Just don't forget the upsides life can give, such as family.

I understand it very well. masks are how people protect themselves and some if they wear it to long they cant remove it they become that mask.

I can relate to this (as do most people). The way to break through this is thinking about what you want for yourself NOW. Don't be afraid that the way you are is going to be confronting to others, or that you will have conflicts with other people because of it.
