...I get the same feeling. No matter what, I always sleep with the covers over my head. I don't care that it wouldn't hold up against anything--it still makes me feel better.

For some reason, I've learned to like this kind of fear. Just think that your house is really confortable, and all the shadows just gathered around there to stop being evil for a while and have some imaginary tea.

I've never really been scared of the dark, but because my bedroom is really small, when I am away and in a bigger room I get jumpy because I don't know where the walls are and what every shadow is from

I used to feel that way, but for some odd reason, I find them to be friendlier and familiar than they really seem, really...

i turn lights on throughout where i walk, just to make sure i can see everything.
and check all around my room before sleeping, and then pretend i can't see anything, so it can't see me.
get the feeling i'm gonna be doing that for a while.

I feel the same way; I have a bed off the ground and I still jump onto is so nothing can come out from under the bed to grab me.

I used to HAVE to have a light on (whether is be a small light or the ceiling light) but now it irritates my eyes and keeps me up.

I grew up afraid of the dark. My aunt read me a story about a person's shadow coming out and killing them when in the dark.. I was only like...5? (Yeah, my aunt is sooo nice...*sarcasm*)
