I don't know about the total relevance this has but I'm gonna say it anyways...
Sometimes it's really hard to go back; you get hurt and you just want nothing to do with the people you feel hurt you ever again. At the end of the year (2008) I basically broke away from my group of friends and we never spoke again. Sometimes I think of the good times we had and I start to think, "hey, maybe I'll call them" but slowly in starts creeping the hatred and I get mad at them all over again. There was no real benefit to leaving my friends (I just felt it was the right thing to do...I hated them too much) and, the one who really lost is me but things will turn around someday with other people...I hope.
Sorry, got a little off there...the point is sometimes you don't want to go back. Sometimes the damage is done and is permanent (or long lasting) and it's no body's fault...it's just how things wound up working out.
