I . . . can relate. Sort of. As it turned up I woke up and realized what a terrible hypocrite and idiot they were and now I care nothing about them, but I hope and pray your situation is different, and that they'll open their arms to you a bit. It may be hard, but try to let them know how much they mean to you, okay?

I think this is how my step sister feels. She loves my dad like crazy and he loves her too...but I know he doesn't love her like he loves me. And she deserves to be loved like that. And sometimes I wish I had the courage to tell him that.

I know this sounds strange...but thank you for sharing this with us. It's made me think about some things I haven't thought about in a while...and it makes me want to encourage my dad to love on my step sister...the way she deserves.
