It's very disturbing, I think, how much of themselves people are willing to share to absolute strangers. People think it's a joke when I say you can get in trouble with it. You don't have to be a criminal. You just have to have someone who hates you and wants to get you in jail for 15 years. If I hadn't deleted my Facebook account, my boyfriend and I could have been behind bars by now.

Eh, I used to not care much until people kept asking me to get one.
To the point I just really started hated it.

As a highschooler.. I have to say, it's not really all that bad. DA is way better, but all of my real-life friends either dont have one or get bored with art (how????) so if I want to do useless virtual things, I just use facebook. Old people love Twitter I've noticed... and myspace seems to be for slutty people (and peple generally have horrible taste in layouts, I listen to my own music so the background music is irritating, and I HATE having to rate my friends). DA is my true social networking soul mate, but sadly not for my friends so I connect with them that way.
And dont forget that you can IM with facebook. Useful if only for that.

I kinda hate it too, but I have one.
I closed it approx a year ago, because I realized how stupid it is.
Now I re-opened it when down came the realization that this is my last year of school, and I'm not the kind to keep in touch with people when I dont get to see them.
I will miss those guys, and they're all there.

I hate Facebook for a few reasons.
I keep in touch with family and frirends who live out of my state. I hate talking on the phone since I feel so obligated to make conversation.
Otherwise, it is overrated and wierd to talk about it in irl like a few have already mentioned.

I cant say I hate it, because I have never tried it, and I dont want to either, I already have my hands full with everything going on in my life as it is. I wouldnt be able to keep up with anything on it.
But I do get a little pissed off when others keep going on and on and on about it. When they know I dont have it and they know I dont want it.

I actually really like it. 
After I graduated high school, it's the only way to keep in touch with a lot of friends. We use it to coordinate get-togethers when we're in the same town. And I can keep in touch with family members, too.
Twitter, on the other hand, I just can't catch on to. It seems useless and odd.

facebook was a LOT less...stalker-prone. BUT NOW, what with FB 3.0 or something, this is like their bajillion'th new home page, it's just totally invading your privacy sometimes.

but on the new home page, almost EVERY wallpost shows up in your news feed.
it's like, "OH LOOK, KAITIE WROTE THIS ON BEN'S WALL: heyyy bennnnnnn lets get jiggy. (;"

and then people just have these LONG LONG conversations, and they just obscure your home page and you're just so tempted to READ these incredibly long conversations because they're the only thing obstructing your 'news feed'. creepy.

Facebook was AWESOME when it was a resource to get together with people in your CLASSES and to set up study groups and such... when they opened it up to people who weren't in college, it turned into another myspace... and we all know how much myspace SUCKS....
