I've been anorexic and bulimic for four years.
I've been in hospital three times, because I was nearly dead.
Some of those thinspiration pictures circulating out there are ME
It has ruined my life.
Don't let it suck you in, because it will break you too.

Wow I just googled that site and it made me sick to my stomach. Wanting to be toned is one thing but looking like someone UNICEF should help is another.

Hey, it's not exactly something you choose.
but y'know, stay away from it, just causes yourself shit for the rest of your life, I know enough people who've been through it to know that much.
and anyway, who wants to be with someone THAT skinny?
curves are way better!

I was reading secrets from a while ago, and there was one about thinspiration. So I searched it on youtube and clicked a random video and when it came up the first thing said "Anorexia is a lifestyle.". I thought that was absolutly sick...

=/ I used to go to sites everyday for it. Still do maybe a couple of times a month. No, I'm not anorexic, and never used to be, it just started me hating myself a little more everyday.

thats not that bad? i know sometimes you might feel bad about yourself, but im pretty much similar height and weight, and i started running and stretching in my free time and i feel better about myself. :] it helps if you have someone to motivate you too. :] diets dont work, in my opinion. and theres a difference between dieting and eating healthy. dont give up or give in ST! (and youre young, so if you dont exercise that much even a little can go a long way!)

For fourteen year olds the BMI range is 15.8 to 23.3.
You're around 21.6 from the info you gave.
So you're healthy.
I mean, I'm fourteen too but I'm 5'5" and weigh 115.
But I'm not a stick either so don't even think that.
My BMI is 19.1 so I'm in between the healthy range.
And I mean, I eat like a monster too.
But don't even think you're underweight or anything, okay.
Your body is perfect the way it is don't change it.

Rarrrgg. Avoid it at all costs.
My father professionally works with these people, and they're never happy once they've gotten into the situation. Avoid it, it's easiest now.

i just googled it, and my god i have to say, that is so wrong. not everyone needs to be stick thin. some girls look great being the size they are, but many think they need to lose weight. i have a friend who is 17, 5'4" or so, and about 107 pounds. and i think she needs to put on some weight. but all my other friends seem to think im the one with the problem, not her. i may be considered underweight, but i eat a lot and my hands dont look like claws. i cant help it if ihave a fast metabolism. she can.
anyways, ST just try to be comfortable with your size. i dont see anything wrong with your current weight. *hugs*

I think that's a perfectly healthy weight to be. Don't sell curvyness short. It's much more attractive than skeleton-like. And much more healthy too. As soon as you start making yourself skinnier than nature designed you to be, you run the risk of messing up your hormones and the general functioning of your body. You are never as fat as you think you are. You just aren't. None of us are.

Anorexia is dangerous.
After a summer spent around girls like that, I developed the mindset of a certain way of beauty, and spent my first year of high school starving.
I was lucky in the way that it didn't take a hospital to realize it was wrong.

Darling darling darling...
14, 5'5, and 140 here. :3
Let me tell you: Not eating is stupid.
No seriously. Its stupid.
Is dying worth being skinny? I dont think so. :3
ive been trying to loose weight too, and im taking the special K challenge, not snacking and simply eating 3 times a day and drinking water.
and ya know what? its working. :3
Trust me, love. Things will get better. It doesnt matter how other people see you; its about how you see yourself. Ribs and hip bones and cool, but not when covered with a layer of malnourished skin.
and 120 pounds? thats perfectly healthy. :3 If you dont like the way you look, run around your block once a day. Dance to some of those favorite songs. Laugh :3 Every time you laugh, it burns 2-3 calories. Seems a lot more fun than starving yourself doesnt it? ^_^ <3

It really don't matter so much while you are young if you are a little 'overweight' and actually, 10stone for that height, its verging on underweight, its still healthy.
I'm only 5'2", and i'm 8 stone... thats 112 pounds. Thats underweight. It wouldn't be so bad if i was only 15, but I'm 25 and being underweight afects me in some health problem ways, getting enough sleep, periods etc.
While you are still growing its not a bad thing to have a little extra weight or whatever, I wish I weighed that bit more when I was your age, I wouldn't feel this way maybe now?
and I eat like a HORSE ! (not out of a nosebag, from a plate )

I used to spend hours upon hours on thinspiration sites.
It's not something you want to get in to. It's not worth the "side effects".
If you need any help or advice, feel free to note me.

I just googled too, and looked... and I think that's really sick. =/ This is coming from someone who's battled with being thin for a very long time, and been accused many times of anorexia and bullemia (because I'm a picky eater, and when I don't like something I gag uncontrollably.)
Yeah, I know that didn't have much to do with ST..
ST- stay strong, mk? Take those "thinspiration" girls as inspiration NOT to be that. Take it as example of what anorexia and bullemia can lead to. Don't fall into a spiral like that, convincing yourself that it's okay or right.
