I feel I could have written this, months ago.

That's beautiful ... of course, the cigarette bit is a little weird. But it seems like language has no barriers when you talk about love.

A few people I know, actually, have learned to say 'I love you' in my native language (Hungarian) and it seems like it's meant so much more when they take the time to understand and pass it on in a different language.

I'm sure the sentiment will only grow exponentially if you tell them :]

I agree!

Anytime I make friends with someone who lives in another country, I ask them to teach me random things of their native tongue I may not be fluent in anything, but they still enjoy my random comments in their language with my English grammar breaking it xD

Szeretlek!!
I had to do it, it's one of the few hungarian things I remember, sadly I forgot a lot of that language when I came back from Budapest.
I think you are right though. Saying something in our mother language does mean a lot more.

I was there for an exchange. I studied in Budapest for a year, it was great! I'll go back there once, I will.

Yes! It's such a beautiful language, as is Spanish and Latin, and other such.

I'm glad someone else agrees, and I hope the ST can really help him/herself with this.
