Same thing happened to me and it screwed up everything. I'm not being pessimistic, I'm just being realistic- you can't say there's 100% chances of them still being friends after that. It just depends on the risks that ST wants to assume.

Maaaybe. But maybe not; it can happen that after you tell him, you both find yourselves in an awkward situation and then there's awkward silences and you just feel there's no point in it all anymore. This is nobody's fault.

Awkward situations only happen if someoen isn't comfortable with the outcome of a certain event, though that is based on all awkward situtiouns I have had with people.

You're right, I think. In this case, a good friend confessing he/she is in love with you when your feelings aren't the same miiiight just be an awkwakd situation and it depends on each person if he/she can get over this and just continue being friends.
