Venusol is a portmanteau of Venus, the Latin name for Aphrodite (the goddess of love, pleasure, passion, procreation, fertility, beauty and desire.), and Sol, the Latin name for Helios (the Titan god and personification of the sun).

Helios, the home planet of the Venusol, is literally the name of the Titan god of the sun, a guardian of oaths, and the god of sight.

Given the fact that Venusol have no male counterparts, they reproduce with males of other species, though they mostly prefer humans. This behavior is similar to how male Kraaho can reproduce with female humans.
