It looks way different because well, the original looks too much like a stage 1 or even 2 pokemon. So I cut some stuff out. Maybe I'll draw its evolution.. hmm

I like it, and you're right - simpler is better for the basic stage in an evolution. I would probably also edit out the dark green 'straps', at least the pair on the tail, the pouchlike detail on the stomach (why would a young form need a developed pouch?), and maybe cut down on the dark green spots a little. I like the ear and tail leaves, though, I think you should keep those.

I enjoy the colors you used. I really do. The ONLY thing i dislike is it's pose, and it still looks too complicated to be a first stager. Or... A starter. When I get my tablet back up and running, I will give it a go, or see if a friend wouldn't mind helping. I do appreciate the attempt though!

No i know exactly what you mean, the original was too much detail I did countless copies to try to get it right. Believe me, I didnt like how it turned out lol I'm actually gonna try another one to see if i can nail it lol

oh, nice posing, and I like how you went about coloring it. I feel the eye seems a bit off, but otherwise nice use of the design
