Being an old hippie, plus the fact it was about 3:00 a.m., when I first saw this I said "How did they get a headband on a bison?" then one of my three remaining brain cells kicked in and I realized it was a bramble.

That's amazing photo! I can't stop myself from faving it. I love bisons, as well as our polish wisents. They have some differences, but both have look that makes you feel deep respect. Pity that both species were so badly destroyed by humans.

My husband and I traveled the west earlier this summer. I was so disappointed that we did not get to see a single Bison. What strong, gentle creatures.

you know - i had never seen any until the Buffalo farm by my house - and now I see them often and they are truly so gentle and yet so strong - couldn't agree more!

Such beautiful beasts! They have restored a lot of the population up here on the Nebraska/South Dakota border. The are so majestic and beautiful.
