Description Here's something I've been cooking for quite a while but couldn't serve until it was ready and well !
If you wanna know what characters got me in X-men in general , here they are and I also left to draw what I think is true to them rather than the current cyphers ... Make of that what you will , but you may agree once I'll show you where the real Kurt Wagner has been .

If you think of the Liefield Cable (who is more of a prototype ) I get what you mean , but Fabian Nicieza and Rob Weinberg 's baby ? No way in hell I could ever dislike him ! XD [link] [link] [link]

Nathan did what Prof X could not : care for their cause and he's one the few that survived Morrison's colostomy bag of a run

LOL @ baby Cable! This was unexpected

It's refreshing to see such a collage, consisting of characters I'm not yet sick of And I surely prefer this version of Sinister to the "retro" Victorian version that exists these days.

devilkais In reply to LadyMadCat [2012-08-27 13:32:49 +0000 UTC]

To be honest , the victorian suit suits him as well . That was the reveal that truly made him an awesome character (my redesign being a mixture of both ). I drew Cable as a kid because I started lacking space .

LadyMadCat In reply to devilkais [2012-08-27 15:38:31 +0000 UTC]

It suits him, no doubt about that. But the new Sinister seems like an exaggeration, as if he was intended to become a parody of himself. He doesn't feel like a threat anymore, he's more like an elegant and eccentric fool as opposed to the mad scientist that he used to be.

I'm gonna remedy to that , to me the relationship between Nathaniel and Scott resembles THIS a lot [link] (that's where I'm going and I'll develop after adding the proper details . Besides I love this flick ! XD ) , even watered down he's still the most likable nowadays, but the reason he doesn't feel as a threat is because the staff forgot the 90's and who he TRULy is , but I did not

LadyMadCat In reply to devilkais [2012-08-27 16:47:42 +0000 UTC]

W00t! Your comparison is actually brilliant Just too bad Scott went down the road of douchebaggery instead of following the outstanding teacher

The staff must be pretty much brain dead these days. What they have in store for after AvX (or even right now) actually makes my level of interest drop to a negative value. Time travelling classic X-Men BS, mixed groups of X-Men and Avengers, sideshow freak kids galore in Wolvie X-Men, retcon and alternate crap of first X-Men and X-Treme X-Men I swear the only remotely interesting title will be the Legacy that focuses on Legion...

What's wrong with Uncanny Avengers' concept? The idea of Avengers and X-Men working together is something that Marvel should have done from the start.

LadyMadCat In reply to MaxwellCohen5211997 [2015-05-17 14:44:22 +0000 UTC]

With the idea, absolutely nothing. In fact, such a book should've been created sometime in the nineties, back when the X-Men were still relevant and AFAIK for a while they even were the leading Marvel franchise. Then it would've done justice to X-Men and Avengers characters alike.
In these past years however, each time the X-Men and the Avengers were put together, it always resulted in the X-Men being downplayed, shat on and antagonized to no end. Especially in crossovers.

When did I write my previous comment........in 2012 OMG LOL! I was really bitter back then but I think I still had a tiny bit of hope left for the X-franchise.

Hm...I seem to recall that Brian Michael Bendis' Uncanny X-Men had a issue that was basically "Fuck you, Avengers". Also, I've been reading Uncanny Avengers, and the Avengers and X-Men seem to be on mostly even ground there.

LadyMadCat In reply to MaxwellCohen5211997 [2015-05-17 16:15:55 +0000 UTC]

That's good to know, at least
So the characters are evenly distributed then. That's the book where the Apocalypse Twins were villains in at least one long story arc, right?

Yay, Nightcrawler, he's my fave too! I think Cable and Deadpool are my brother's favorites. I love how Gambit is giving Jubilee a noogie, and I freaking love baby!Cable.

devilkais In reply to rodentfanatic [2012-08-27 13:55:21 +0000 UTC]

I had to draw Cable as a baby because :
1) the real Cable appears once he's revealed to be Cyclops's son
2) I was short on space ...

Was it just an oddness of the scan or is Apocalypse actually wearing purple?

Nightcrawler and Sabretooth are definitely on my favorites list, ah, but that is the beauty of being fans. We can all love different aspects of the same thing.
