Simba, you do NOT talk back to Nala. Boy, she'll mess you up. (I'm severally sorry to all the folks out there with dark colored skin. Seriously sorry)
In all seriousness, one thing that annoyed me greatly about the second movie was how "tame" Nala became. I can understand her falling into a more domesticated role after marriage and having a cub but not her sitting idly by while Simba did all sorts of unfair crap. Where's that inner fire from the Nala we all know and love.
(FYI I will be explaining why Nala tamed down but in a separate story).
But not now. More girly bonding time to come.

I used to watch a lot of animal and nature related documentaries as a kid. Loved that stuff and now I have a bunch of knowledge that I pull out for moments like this. :3

Matters what you mean. Some animals with primitive features still exist today though it varies. And there are reports of creatures that look like they come from prehistoric time are seen on rare occasions but these reports are controversial.

I really do like the blending technique that you put into their pelts. Especially the first panel. It looks really good. I bet that it took quite a lot of time, it looks phenomenal nonetheless.
I like your design of Kiara so much; she looks a great deal like her mother rather than being the female version of her father. She has a longer muzzle like her mother and just looks like her.
