Name: Dumisha
Name Meaning: perpetuate, continue, keep up, uphold, maintain, sustain (Swahili)
Status: King of the Whistling Creek Pride
Relations: Brother of Ahadi, Mate to Ziada , Father of Naanda , Pepea , Fuma , Subiri , Sarabi , Diku , Dwala , Jiwe , and Tilifu
Summary: Dumisha was born the second son of the king and thus not expected to become a ruler. In fact, his best course of action is to work at becoming a good warrior and defender for the pride if he wishes to stay. Some what weak willed, Dumisha easily falls into line, eager to follow after another superior leader and work at basic tasks of defending his home or assisting them. Even when the rather pretty Ziada joins and become's his brother's future mate, this remains relatively the same.

  Then his brother is traded off to the Pridelands, to marry their princess and form a strong alliance with a powerful, respected pride. Now Dumisha, a young teen, must take his brother's place as future king and one day wed Ziada instead. This is rather tricky adjustment after so many years of expecting one life and adjusting to a far more important role. Luckily, Ziada proves quite capable and is able to fill in the gaps of his new education and he eventually falls into the role of king. Furthermore, Dumisha gets along better with Ziada then Ahadi ever did, there is no love but its clear they are united in views and goals. So when they take the crown, Ziada becomes the queen that rules the pride while Dumisha will work towards her vision of forming a guard, a group of lions trained and lead by him to defend the land. This all works out well and good, now the couple only focus on trying for princes, a noble king surrounded by his brother's as a impenetrable defense against conquest.

  Only their first born turns out to be a girl, along with any of the other children they produce, no princes only princesses. This doesn't sit well for they worry over the future, especially over a lioness ruling the pride, the fear of a male ousting her and her sisters runs deep. Both Dumisha and Ziada end up mostly forgetting about there children, true he cares for them but the future continuation of the pride comes before them. Thus he spends great deals of time training the new guard, protecting borders and taking up the gaps left by his mate while they try for more children. Yet the answer comes in the one place he doesn't expect.

  His eldest, Naanda, proves capable of uniting and leading the pride, able to instruct even the lions into following her command. Furthermore, with his daughter leading and so many daughters without a place, his wife and him realize they can be used to trade with other kingdoms, forming strong alliances that strengthen it further. And his connection to his brother only boosts this, one of his girls sent off to marry their prince and helping open up other prides into seeking them out, to be connected to the great Pridelands. Thus even with all his daughters the pride grows strong and prosperous, unafraid of conquest in the years to follow.
With these worries met, Dumisha finally relaxes, assured the future is set in stone.

So here be Dumisha, Sarabi's daddy. Yeah the guy may look regal and proud but he's sort of a nervous, passive lion. He's more follower then king so Ziada is more in charge between the two of them (which both are rather happy with). Pretty much Ziada points at some where, tells him to do a thing and he does it. Not complex but it mostly works. Too bad he's so focused other matters to spare his daughters much time, unless they suddenly become important they are mostly forgotten. Geesh, it a wonder more of them didn't turn out worse off.
As for design and colors, he's suppose to look like Ahadi only a little lighter and he's also a tad smaller. Other then that, there is little difference in looks.
So now that he's done, onto his MANY daughters. Oh boy.
