BEFORE YOU MAKE ANY YAOI FANGIRL COMMENTS. They are Red Street Kids, they cuddle, because closeness is an important part of their emotional and physical health... Obviously Tristan has been through a lot of DON'T TOUCH ME's and he's not too well. So no, it's not sex or insinuating sex, just clothesless cuddles, because being close like that means more to a Red Streeter than sex any day. So no mature filter. And I get to angry at you if you leave a dumb comment.An IMISSYOUMISSYOU gift for Ev <: sdgfasdfd Daquiri's head angle is wierd, both their faces look flat but crapdammit it's the first "huggling" picture I've done in forever @3@ positioning the boys around eachother was QUITE an excercise. I'm trying to improve on this, I like drawing warm, fuzzy, REAL hugs >: I would also like to draw cute kisses to defy stereotype, all the freaking kissing pictures I see don't involve SMILES, LAUGHING or even FACIAL EXPRESSION to a point. They've all gotta to be so serious >| I'd like to see some HAPPY cos real love doesn't make a |: face while it kisses.
ANYWAY, moral of the story: No one can avoid being comforted by Daquiri for very long in apartment 315, 'specially Tristan. (god whyfor I draw so much tristan?)

The world needs more adorable platonic cuddling. Wouldn't have thought of this as something sexual even if you hadn't said anything - it's just too warm. (If that makes sense.)
Okay, my first question: what are these guys, that physical contact is important to their health to that degree? (Yes, yes, I know the easy answer is right up there in your comments, but... I want to know more than just that!)

I... really don't see how anyone couldn't. I mean, it's pretty clear from their expressions that this is something more than "sexytiem lol". (Though the way their lower bodies seem to be positioned... eh, even that's a stretch.)
I wish I'd seen that when it was open! Either way... god, that's a great bunch of concepts there. Looking forwards to seeing more from this 'verse, definitely!

Neither do I, but a lot of people followed me from my earlier account that I escaped because I got more comments on how "sexy" my work was rather than the meaning behind it.

So Red Street kids are kinda like lycanthropes from the Anita Blake books when it comes to physical contact?

Kindasorta but not really. Their reasons for it are different but I think the principal is the same. Pretty much it's just amplified humanity... if people(particularly children) go for a long time without contact or love, they start to deteriorate anyway. it's much faster with Red Street kids.

You know, I think a single color tone shaded is perfect for these sorts of images. The dark outlines and the soft shadows and gentle light spots... You pulled it off really well, by the by. The shapes in the sheets, the depth of the floor, and where the wall casts a shadow, as well. The texture in the hair is really nicely done as well. The lineart seems to correspond really nicely with the shading except for on the bed's headpost. It loses that consistancy that the rest of the image has. Otherwise, very gentle and very sweet both in visual and mood.

as for the headboard, what do you think I COULD fix about it that'd make it work better?

Straighten out the form of it a bit, I suppose, because it's a little loose while it should be defined. Giving it a design, perhaps, like, cusions for backing or something might make it a little more defined as well, and give it that snazzy sheen that it would have in that lighting, instead of blotched shades. Just a thought!

I continually see your techniques improving... You've focused a lot more on your anatomy, and your characters don't seem as stiff as they used to.
You're also better at backgrounds than I'll ever be...

SOME of it was helpful but DAYMN, compared to the advice Mr. Wood gave me s' all bull. It took me foreeeeveeeeer to wipe Katy Coop's or whatever her name is style out of mine, before that book I drew fairly well and those damn books screwed me over @3@
