Ok, I lied. Apparently I did have one more in me before going on break. The scene is basically Golden Age hero vs Golden Age hero as The Bat-Man (Detective Comics #27, 1939) vs The Black Owl (Prize Comics #34, 1943). I tried to go with the original style of each costume as it appeared at their first costumed appearances instead of more modern takes. It's funny how one slipped into the obscurity of public domain while the other became a decades old phenomenon.

Bruce Wayne trains himself physically and intellectually and crafts a bat inspired persona to fight crime.
