Description Ok, I lied. Apparently I did have one more in me before going on break.  The scene is basically Golden Age hero vs Golden Age hero as The Bat-Man (Detective Comics #27, 1939) vs The Black Owl (Prize Comics #34, 1943). I tried to go with the original style of each costume as it appeared at their first costumed appearances instead of more modern takes. It's funny how one slipped into the obscurity of public domain while the other became a decades old phenomenon.

Some bios from Wikipedia

The Black Owl-In 1940, Doug Danville, being a bored and wealthy playboy, decided to add meaning to his seemingly pointless life by fighting the criminal element hand to hand. Originally calling himself “K the Unknown,” he quickly changed his identity to that of The Black Owl. His original outfit was a tuxedo and an owl mask, but he soon switched to a blue and red costume. Finally, after more than three years of crimefighting, Danville decided to do something even more meaningful with his life; he joined the army and fought in World War II . Before leaving, he passed on the costume and identity of The Black Owl to Walt Walters. Whatever became of Danville after the war is not yet known.

The Bat-Man- Batman's secret identity is Bruce Wayne, a wealthy American playboy , philanthropist , and owner of Wayne Enterprises . His origin depicts Bruce Wayne as a child, after witnessing the murder of his parents Dr. Thomas Wayne and Martha Wayne , he swore vengeance against criminals, an oath tempered by a sense of justice. Bruce Wayne trains himself physically and intellectually and crafts a bat inspired persona to fight crime.
