Ever since he took over the Mishima Zaibatsu, he's transformed from a nice guy who always asks for forgiveness into a douchebag/powerfreak which is one of the many reasons why I hated Tekken 6.

Late reply but there is reason behind him changing, if you beat the game and then watch his arcade endings. He doesn't really have a choice given his position, who would be happy and apologetic when faced with something as big as needing to sacrifice yourself to save the world? He had to be the bad guy and look it to save it. Needs of the many over the needs of the few. Some had to suffer for the entire world to survive.
