Wow, This is an amazing piece. Looking at it, I feel the mans misery or feelings of giving up...In my opinion, the black cat really adds to the piece because of its positive correlation with bad luck. You did a good job at making the man look realistic..the only thing I might suggest is for you to blend out your tones little bit more. However, that is all subjective. It was a good choice to do the piece in black and white..i think it adds to the mood. I'd love to see more of your art, keep up the good work!

I like the whole image, the cat seems a bit darker than all of it. I feel the scene in my bones, but the cats gaze cuts deeper than that.

I saw this picture what seems like centuries ago, and I got that feeling from it-- it just clicked, you know? I could feel how much was put into it, not just effort but soul. Now finding it here, I understand why

I really mean it, too. When I was in about 3rd grade, my best friend was the computer, and all I had on it were pictures that my mother had saved from the Internet, a photo editing program, and a word processor. This particular piece was one of the pictures, and it always inspired me. I couldn't bring myself to tinker with it like I had with others, because, by God, it's already perfect. Lol, and it inspired me to create some of my favorite male characters in my old stories. When I saw it on your page, it was like seeing an old friend for the first time in years.

This is very beautiful, mate, and the cat's a tad creepy. It's got a hazy edge to it but the haze suits it greatly. Well done on the DD, you definitely deserve it.
