Personality:

Komatsu is a tall, greedy bat. Mostly silent in a group conversation watching over the people talking he is on first sight cold with most people not really tyrying to get on their good side or get under their skin using the minimal amount of words possible. Meetingnew people however is no issue as he would consider them first as new name for his "potential client" list, and any buisness is good buisness.
All those trait might however completly change depending on the situation you catch him in. as a buisness owner he trying to be very warm and gestual most of the time making people go back out with things they didn't even need in the first place.

This double kind of personality made him develop a very secretive character when it comes to its private life, keeping strangers from finding out informations that would jeoperdize his calm way of life. He would eventually open up if he was to know an equivalent secret. This "co-blackmailing" is what Ko would consider "an healthy relationship".

History:

Born Toan, and raised in a small, poor fisherman village on the coast of Vietnam, from a fisherman father and a merchant mother,Toan's family was barely surviving day by day having little to no contact with the surrounding big villages or cities of his native land if not for the rare travelers passing by pure accident most of the time. This kind of rare contact with the "outside" helped him deal with his life as he couldn't really be jealous or envious of others belongings or life style.

He however first experienced those feelings later in his teenage years when, at the age of 15 he decided to enroll with a group of erchants passing by the village, not willing to be a financial burden for his parents anymore keeping little to no contact with them for the following years. Starting at first as an worker helping unload shipments once at destination he slowly gatherd enough money to start on his own little "shop" selling herbs, drugs and medecine. The usefulness of this kind of merchandise helped making him rather quickly a self made man, and at the age of 18 became the richest merchant of his troops, well known of the surrounding cities and villages for his goods.

But the life of a succesful man never is what he lets appear to the public. Even tho Toan was well known as an apothicary, his richest clients were actually less then recommandable gentlemen who would spend fortunes of goods taht would be considered "unethical " by the public. deadly plants, psychedellic drugs, bone powder, animal parts said to had unholy effects...Komatsu was a well known underground merchant, leaving little no place for good conscience. To this point nothing would really phase the once gullable kid from the poor fisherman village, Not even perpetual murder attemps on his person for "competition"...

Even if Toan had learned over the years fend for himself, one could never live a life constantly over the edge, this realisation made the tall night bat take measures to ensure his security. At teh age of 23 and using part of his wealth, he decided to hold on a small tournament within the community of the black market to find the strongest fighter, awarding the winner with a job as his personal bodyguard, with an substancial pay.

On the day of the tournament he quickly glanced over all the potantial fighters within the group, but something peculiar had gotten his attention in this review. In the middle of the tall, scared, scary, overly muscled, mean looking scums this society had to offer was innocently standing a small child who would have looked even more then out of place, if it werent for her ragged clothes and dirty face. Curious he asked the child if she was lost, if a parent was participating, or flat out if it was some kind of joke. getting exponentiallyfrustrated as the child was playfully shaking her head not even answering his questions directly, "Then what on earth do you think you are doing here ?" asked the big bat.his eyebrrows raised more then ever before when she responded with a playful voice "I'm your future bodyguard !".

Surprised to say the least, what had really gotten to Toan wasn't the fact that she was seriously considering a fight with a group of dirty fighters, but it was the honesty and sincerity in her eyes when she said that she could dimply win it all...and she made it sound easy on top of that !...more then amused and with no moral, he allowed her to participate and decided to make her go first, and at is surprise....from the first fight, if you could even call it a fight, he got himself hit by the very definition of the word "underestimate". Too fast to be seen and too bright the child layed down the first opponentin a single attack, too blinding to even have been seen by the surrounding audiance. With a stupefied face, he slowly looked at teh audience of fighters gather around the ring showing a mix of fear and surprise, making his face slowly turn into a grin, Toan decided to call of the tournament without even letting the other fights take place....."It looks like I have found my bodyguard ! WHat is your name little one ?".The little girl grinned back and looked up at the towering man answering with a snicker "...Anh !" exctending her little hand for a handshake.

A couple of years later Toan's intuation was proven right when the duo was now well known as a force to be reckoned with. Even in the line of work of their dangerous buisness they could now enjoy the good life together in a win-win relationship. He was making sure to provide for her...she was making sure he wouldn't get killed in his deals what more could they ask for ?WEll....this IS this new country that just opened his frontiers....
