Speed video of the entire work time condensed into 4 minutes:[link]A 3.5 hour quickie of Psylocke from The X-Men done in photoshop entirely.
I get asked a lot how I draw or how I ink or how I color so I thought this would be a good way to show from start to finish. You can see Psylocke come together from a blank sheet of paper to the rough pencils, to the inks and then all the way to what you see above. Unfortunately, some of the color rendering file got corrupted so it's missing a little toward the end but I plan on doing another one of these for full color rendering sometime in the near future. If you have any suggestions for techniques you'd like to see please feel free to mention them here or on the Youtube video page.

If you draw it then yes, you are copying it but there's nothing wrong with that if it's just for practice and you credit me as the originator when/if you post it. Which specific shine are you talking about?

yeah ofcourse ill credit you, im struggling with the fands and feet, rest of the body iΒ can draw but about the shine, i ment the highlights on here outfit andΒ how do i improve the dynamic poses

You're a really good artist and the video was very informative to me.
However I find two things a little awkward. Her breasts and right foot. The initial "pencil" looked fine but once you inked and colored it up I felt that the values of these two areas seemed off.
I'm not too good with technical terms but the highlights on her chest seems to sit a little oddly with the surround flat black.
Her left foot doesn't seem to be resting completely well on the ground... seems a little floaty. The overall tonal range in her left foot and chest area could be a little more detailed I think...
I wish I could communicate what it is that I'm thinking exactly much better... unfortunately I have to study up on my art vocab.

Consider this: if you stare at any piece of art long enough, you will eventually find flaws. Why? Because even if the piece is technically perfect, your mind will invent flaws where there aren't any. That is a truism for art in general (and coincidentally why many a song you went crazy for when you first heard it gets lame after a time).
So knowing that there are flaws in every piece - real or imagined - ask yourself this: are they a bad thing? Some would say a piece lacks character and soul if it isn't at least a little flawed.

great piece, love the music choice for the vid *grins* probably would have gone with the psyblade version for her other hand, and maybe red lips but that's just minor aesthetics, this pic is truly well done.
