This photo was taken in Helsinki Pride 2008 in June. It's one of my favorites out of my own photos. The feeling of happiness and pride just shines through. And besides, they're cute. Even though I'm straight, I love gay prides. We have nothing else even remotely like that in Finland. This was, by the way, one of the very few summer-ish days during the whole summer. Clearly, god loves fags!

A funny anecdote is that they are looking at the window of a prestigious Finnish hotel, where some guy got completely naked in response to the pride participants!

Another anecdote is that the "dtm" text in the balloons refers to a legendary gay bar in Helsinki, formerly called "Don't Tell Mama" which sponsored this event (or at least the pink balloons).
