Description FULL VIEW, PLEASE... unless you want to continue being blinded. It doesn't look as bad when it's larger - in my opinion anyway.

It's been a while since I've drawn any Yuu Yuu Hakusho fanart or, more precisely, any Kurama x Botan fanart. xDDD And recently remembering that it was this anime/coupling that first got me to start drawing fanarts in the first place, I thought I'd draw something KxB-ish again.

However, no idea came to me. I just ended up going through my binder and found a really old fanart that didn't really have any meaning (and I thought it was in DESPERATE need of editing @_@). So I erased it, and it somehow manifested into what you see now. The drawing itself and the story behind it is partially inspired by the songs: "How To Deal (Luny Tunes Reggaeton Remix - Spanish)" by Frankie J, "Again" by Janet Jackson, and "Goin' Crazy (Breakbeat Remix)" by Natalie because it was on freakin' repeat the whole way through.

The Geisha and the Samurai is something I really want to write. I haven't written any fanfiction in a while (and I ought to be skewered for my many unfinished works), and this idea really wants to make me write again.

Plot: Set in early 19th century Japan, Shuuichi Minamino aka Kurama is a high-class samurai whose wife has just passed away. In the wake of his grief, he finds himself always drinking at a local brothel. There he has an awkward encounter with a geisha, who later tells the samurai that if he can find the whereabouts of another samurai by the name of Kuronue Saionji, then she will gladly free him of his grief. Already knowing that the man she spoke of was no longer with them in that life and had been in the next world for the past five years but curious as to why she would want to know where his deceased friend was, Shuuichi humors her and accepts to "find out where" Kuronue was. As their trysts become more frequent, Shuuichi begins to develop feelings for the geisha, only to discover that Kuronue was none other than her fiance.

Muahahahahahaha! I want to write this SUPER-DUPER badly! SUPER-DUPER! I don't ever say this so that oughta hint at how much I'm playing with this story idea in my head. And Botan, you SLUT! xDDDD It sounds that way, no? *sad* It's really more complicated, but then I'd be writing out the entire fanfic here if I tried to explain it. So I'll leave it here.

As for the artwork itself... haha... it looks gay! I was literally fighting myself when it came down to the design on Botan's kimono (and cleavage... what was I thinking... but then again... geisha, right?). I really wanted to just do it when I colored it (if I color it), but I didn't want it to be stick plain. So yeah. Totally hate her eye. She looks scary and high or something. xDDDD

*doesn't know whether to HURT you for making Hiei taller than Botan, or GLOMP you for making such a pretty picture*

Heh... I'll go with the glomp. And drawing skirts in that position really does put the artist in an awkward position.

Oh gosh... Hiei's taller than Botan, sorry, but I really HATE that.

But I'll accept your "height issues" anyways. ^^ ...But shorter guys are CUUUTTTTE!

*doesn't know whether to glomp you again or to glomp a short guy*

Aaaah... the indecision.

Thanks so much for the comment! You're more of an HxB fan, right? I'm more of a KxB fan, but I don't mind the HxB pairing much. xDDD Sorry this turned out to be KxB. Next time I draw an HxB pic, I'll dedicate it to you just because... you're an HxB fan! xD

I love the picture! But the geisha thing.... Geisha never worked in brothels. They were very high class performing women, and not *that* type of performing. They served tea and danced and played instruments and sang and that was about *all* they did. What your professional woman would be is probably a very high class lady of the night.

I'm sorry if I got all "nyar" with you on that, but I dun like the whole geisha = "professional" ladies thing. That started after World War II when US GIs were in Japan.

But then literary liscense. And this sounds like a story I really want to read. I hope you write it! I'm sure it'll be as good as your picture!

... ... *attacks you... with a GLOMP* I truly appreciate this new information. I feel so educated. xDDD I don't mind the "nyar" at all - in fact, I'm actually glad you pointed this out. I want to stay as true to the facts as possible when I write this. Someone obviously didn't do their homework. *COUGH* I merely assumed because well, I only know geisha as... yeah. MAN! Bad me. Haha. So I'm gonna have to change a couple of things here and there, but the story will stay the same. I WILL find a way to make it similar. Where there is a will, there will definitely be a way. xDDD Thanks again so much!
