At first I thought the phoenixes were rising out of the sea of cloth, maybe they are. Or maybe her cloth is rising out of lava!Β
Either way, I really like this. The bright scarlet leading to the almostΒ sickeningly beautiful queen. Her appearance from the center looks normal, but her extremities tell a different story, mostly courtesy of the alien eyes and skull. I like the contrast of life and death combined in one place. It appears that she can deal death with her left hand while giving life with her right!Β AΒ truly unique and eye-catching piece! Amazing Work!Β

I like this very much, it's at the same time kinda disturbing and gorgeous. The shapes reminds me of the work of HR Giger though (the man who designed the Alien). Chapeau !

I love your painting, wow! The details in your piece really captivate. The spectrum of reds in the queens hair, dress and the fire birds are exquisite. Dabbling in art is a hobby of mine. I teach community fantasy art classes to elementary and junior high school age kids. Can I get your permission to show them your work as an example of excellence, as well as 60 hours spent on this project for my eight week class that begins in mid-Jan 2012?
