Multumesc frumos!

I was very much taken with the dream like sensation and effect of this image, it’s as if the tombs are slowly enveloping the girl as she walks down the path. Just had a very enjoyable look through your collection too, excellent inspirational work!

I really love the composition of this piece. Despite the warm light, it feels rather haunting, the way everything seems to tower and create a roof over the model. Very beautiful!

DianaGrigore In reply to matthiasmetzler [2012-08-29 16:02:26 +0000 UTC]

That's exactly what I wanted to make, the 'roof'over the model, and the separate 'worlds'(warm and cold).
Thank you!

I've looked
My opinion is that you're doing a good thing by photographing different subjects, this is a great starter to know which road to go for. You should do more photos like the ones with the shadows, try to get outside when they are long(sunrise or sunset time) and you can make amazing things with shadows
Maybe photograph some people's portraits? To see if you like them

alexrashidart In reply to DianaGrigore [2012-08-27 23:38:27 +0000 UTC]

I love doing portraits, but I'm not allowed to post their pictures online. Actually, that's the default, I never ask cause I don't know how to. I'm 13, so maybe people won't trust me or something. How do you ask? Wierd question, but I would like to know.

And your idea for the shadow is a good idea. Thank you for looking at my stuff!

You're referring to asking people if you can put your image with them online or asking them if they'd like to model for you?
It's good that you started to take photos at your age, if you keep experimenting and learn the basics of photography (you can google photography tutorial, you can even find methods to inspire you and put them in practice), you'll form your eye into what you want to do later
Also, I consider it a good way to train your eye by looking at paintings and movies(there are even documentaries about photography and you can see why a certain photographer did what he did in order to obtain the result he/she wanted), etc.
But the most important thing is that you take a lot of photos, try different angles. It doesn't matter what camera you use. The idea is all that it counts.

yeah. How do you ask someone? Especially with kids, how do you do that?
