This picture is featured in my rat photography book Fancy Rats - Portraits and Stories published by Amherst MediaOnyx, an adorable rat I photographed some years ago. She belonged to my friend Lyka, and was extremely curious and gentle... she had never seen me before yet she immediately went begging for cuddles and started eating the tasty bits of fruits I gave her right away.

I don't have ratties anymore as my last one passed away from old age two years ago and I have moved to Canada into an animal-free place since (landlord won't allow it), but when I still had rats they all new their names indeed!
