What kind of cardboard are you using for this, if you don't mind my asking? Are they scraps from something, or do you use some kind of stock like matte board?

Yes, more Steampunk for the home. This is what I am talking about. I like the combination of natural and unnatural. You give it convincing realism.

i finally figured out why i l ve your creations so much. it's all in the paint-work. i wouldn't know where to start to even pretend i can create burnished marks, and years of grease buildup. your technique is simply amazing to me.
