yeah boys are much ore laid back then females are :3, but my ziggy boy is narcoleptic so he is much more calm then most of them

Are yours neutered or do you just keep them apart? I was thinking of getting the boy neutered so I can keep him in the same cage.

It sounds like that's what most people do. I think I'm gonna get the boy neutured if it's not too expensive so I can let them run around together. How do you know when the girl is in heat?

it's like any other animal, they get very skidish when you touchthere hind end and they bleed from the backend, but the female goes into heat every three weeks though

really? mine don't seem to, maybe because they have never been around boy rats. My cousins cat was in heat though and it was really annoying, lol.

yeah somtimes it's hard to tell when they are in heat but the way i pick them up helps me, i put my hand uner there hind end and the other under there chest so somtimes they get all scared when they are in heat

I didn't know about those plants, thanks. My rats try to eat everything! They chewed up my phone charger and love to chew up pill bottles and try to get the pills, I really have to watch them.

lol yeah they both do it, but mostly females, it's jus there motherly instinct but boys will rarely do it because they are most of the time lazy...like my rat ziggy XD
