Awww, poor babies! :C My Snowy and Cloudy (that are their names) are brothers and her mummy is the female rat from a friend. he bought the girle from a grower, but he didn't know, she was pregnant.

I don't know. I live in Germany. Here Rats are not popular pets too, but many People find a way to get some. Never give up with searching a friend for your ziggy!

I'm sorry! That's sad. Another friend of me lost 5 rats because of a tumor. He is the reason, I have rats. He showed me how to handle rats and love them. But he can't have rats anymore. He has an allergic reaction of the fur. :C

because all my friend got sucked into lies by a old friend of mine, we all went to six flags together having a wonderful time and i was told to carry allt he bags, so i did, little did i know that the girl named ann-marie had stolen from the gift shop we were ina nd reported me as the stealer, a few days pased nad i went back to school with a 100 dollar fine , and ann-marie refuses to talk to me, blaming me for everything she ever does, now she is sucking in the only two friends i have, and my best friend who has been by me the whole time nad would never leave me no matter what lives all the way in alabama...and i live in texas...so much in one year huh

That really isn't nice... I feel sorry for you! I also have one friend here in my city. The other friends are all moved to other towns and i don't have the money to visit them. :C I can only talk to them over the internet.

lol oh trust me i want to do the same, breed him of course, but my mom says no and so he hs to stay in a cage by himself, i take him out as much as i can though which means he is ALWAYS out of that cage

hehe spoilt little wormybutt!! what region are you in? you could probably find someone relatively close to you who has a female that they are looking to breed and would love to borrow this handsome man. and then your mom couldn't complain (much) because she doesn't have to deal with pinkies and then you still get to breed him. (without the added YUCK of watching new momma of Ziggy's kids clean up!! gah... I saw my Amy cleaning up after individual babes this litter.... GROOOOSSSSSSS!!!!)

lol well i think the miracle of birth is ok, not the best thing but i live in USA texas to be exact, and i don't know anyone who has a pet rat besides me, my cousin has a cute dumbo but he is a boy to lol, that and ziggy is BIG B.I.G big XD, my dad thought he was a possem when i brought him home

cool. babies are pretty cute. and those would be some mighty cute babes. let me know when you get set up for that and I will be glad to give you all the advice you need.
two big things to remember though- many babies. litters can range up to 24 babies. Momma rats have HALF that many nipples to feed the babies with.
--large litters are likely to lose some. I've bred four litters of rats, and while the first three litters did perfectly and all survived (litter sizes of 2, 8 and 9), this latest litter lost two pups over the first 24 hours. Then again, it was our largest litter yet, at twelve pups. now we are down to 10 of them. when there are more babies, it's more likely that some aren't fully developed. our different litter sizes have showed us how dramatic and affect the litter size can have on the babes. When our first litter (2) was born, those two pups were very large and well developed. their fur started coming in unusually early and they generally developed faster than normal.
but yeah, once you're golden for setting up breeding, let me know and I'll gladly give you information for making the future mommy happy. from lodging to food to bedding.

yea when they were 1st out the babys i cought one it was like the size of my thumb he was small and cute XD tho he was screeming his lil face off... mom likes rats and my dad hates them... yea i feeel really bad for him...
