The shadows that have been created are wonderful, the sky and foreground are both perfectly exposed and the composition is bang on.
I would have been nice to catch some rays as they bounced through the tree, that would have really finished this off nicely. Regardless of this, the shot is absolutely wonderful.

another great photo from you! i think its the remains of where the miners lived when they were quarrying granite up there. Haytor slightly to the left/behind you?

Yep, close to Haytor on the road down to Ashburton.

Ah, another HDR? This looks so beautiful and mysterious and spooky at the same time! Those stones remind me of gravestones, or the remnants of a monument like stonehenge. A hut or a pound would be much more prosaic ;] At any rate, the colors and the long shadows are beautiful!

This is of dream like beauty, you should be very proud of your recent sunset Dartmoor shots.
I love how the darkening sun reflects itself on the grass creating such a vibrance so rare in during the beginning of the night in an ever growing darker and paler landscape.

Beautiful image! The variety of colors and their intensity is breathtaking. Both the sky and the land complement each other, and i love the detail of the sunset through the branches of the tree.
