I really have no trouble shipping Pegasus with other people (Eyeshipping and Toonshipping being my particular favorites), but for personal reasons, this shipping just makes me too emotional.

D8 I've always felt sorry for Pegasus. Poor guy losing his wife so quickly after they married.

It's very hard to make fun anyway (Though I guess some one could if they really tried hard.) I wish he really could have brought his wife back but it's just not possible to bring back the dead, sadly.

Yeah - it's one thing to parody it for specific purposes like LK, and another to take tasteless jabs at it just because, and I could never do the latter.
Poor Pegasus. I hope he got reunited with Cecelia in the end.

I hope so too
You know I heard Pegasus was in GX but I wonder what he did in that season? (Eheh, random thought xD)

I can't say what he did for sure - I've never watched GX... I suppose he was just... there. GX was a bit weird in terms of importing YGO characters anyway, since Kaiba doesn't really look older in it, and Mokuba is nowhere to be seen...

I've only seen bit sof GX,I want to finish the original yugioh before I watch it all, though I admit that I did skip to the final season to see the "Supreme King" xD Maybe Kaiba used his money to make a no age potion thing so that's why he didn't look like he aged xD I bet Mokuba is working in Kaibaland or some thing. Ya know that reminds me,I heard, that Yusei's dad and Mokuba look a lot alike and after seeing them compared,it's kinda true, and it scares me xD

It's kinda slow at first from what i've seen (I watched the first 20 episodes xD GX was the first yugioh related thing I ever saw, other then the cards.) but judging from all the action in the last season (I watched the last 5 episodes xD)it's quite interesting and cool x3 They apparently can travel through dimensions in GX xD Of course,he's Seto Kaiba, after all,ha ha! Pfft,I imagen that Yusei wouldn't even know since his dad blew up his own lab and died when he Yusei was a baby xD (Yusei's dad is not a very smart person xD)

It was really bizarre to watch after the original Yu-Gi-Oh!, but I still haven't given up on giving it a sporting chance. XD
And Mokuba is smart... so he cannot be Yusei's dad. Maybe one of his descendants was Yusei's dad instead. XD

All the different Yugioh series are bizarre,ha ha xD But I like them all fairly well, even the new Zexal is pretty good x3
Well Yusei's dad is a scientist,so he's pretty smart, and probably didn't mean to blow up the place. I just like to make jokes about it *bricked* xD

They are both pretty good,I've only seen some of each. Been watching Zexal each time it's on tv and so far it's great. As for 5Ds I've seen random episodes of it and read a lot about it.

I heard that 4Kids were responsible for that little "wink" at the fans of DM. It made me giggle. XD And I've heard of Astral's antics - it does lend itself to interesting scenarios. XD

I think they tempered too much with the original content, and sometimes very needlessly. I'm not really hating on them but I do feel that most of the criticism is well-deserved, though the blame is not entirely on 4Kids since others have influenced the edits, too.

Yeah they do have to go through all the rules and regulations of the local channel. It seems like local channels with public programming and such are more strict. They don't seem to edit out as much as they used too though.

I guess times are a-changin'. Still, I wish the English dub would have retained the original dialogue and imagery, because the voices were actually really great to listen to, and I could have used more of Eric Stuart talking over badass deeds and stuff.

AzureInu In reply to die-einzelganger [2012-02-20 05:34:03 +0000 UTC]
How much of the dialogue did they change anyway? I've actually not seen very much of the Japanese. I do know in the duel with Mai and Joey (the first one) some stuff was changed since I have the uncut dub for those episodes. I've also read that some of the story lines were edited a bit but they still had the same outcome in the end. I actually think it's interesting that the English dub can have a bit of a different script,it's kinda like if you don't watch it you miss out on a whole new perspective to things. You can never have enough Eric Stuart lol He's such a awesome voice actor, not only does he do a epic job with Kaiba's voice he also does Brock and James from pokemon,or he did until 4Kids lost the rights to that xD

I haven't gotten to the season with Noah yet so I haven't seen that scene (Neither dubbed nor subbed)yet. Was the change really bad? I've read a bit on Wikia but I don't know a bunch about that part.
Same here *headnod* x3

Well, if you want some spoilers...
Basically, Noah has been dead for years, and so has Gozaburo. In the original Japanese version, Noah binds his father so they could die together - i.e. be laid to proper rest, as a family, because Noah tries to reach out one last time to Gozaburo, saving the others in the process. In the subbed version, Noah binds Gozaburo to stop his villainous plan, becoming a martyr, and he does not forgive his father, plus the others speculate that he will be back. I just found it in bad taste - that you cannot have morally challenging endings and deaths, that Noah's forgiveness was left out, and that, after willingly dying so he could finally leave his solitary existence is treated like "oh no big deal he's probably live but Gozaburo isn't because villains can die but semi-good guys never do yaaay".
It could be just me, but... that irritated me. I'm not sure I've found the right words to say it, but still.

Hum...that does seem to be in bad taste. I guess it's not so bad since he still stopped Gozaburo's villainous plan and thus was still a semi-hero in the end but still...Maybe they thought Kids wouldn't quite get if the stuck with the original thing or maybe they wanted to have the possibility of Noah still being alive in the story for later things. Though in GX similar things happened that they did not edit xD Now that I think about it Yubel and Noah have a lot in common,hum....well except Yubel didn't die she 'joined' Jaden xD

Since they never did bring back Noah, I felt it was somewhat cruel on their part, leaving him suspended like that and thus giving the allusion that the Kaiba brothers basically just forgot about him afterwards, since Mokuba mentions that Seto could have engineered him a body, which obviously didn't happen...
Some edits just make me sad.

I guess that is pretty sad :/ If only in the original plot they had brought Noah back, maybe it wouldn't seem so bad then. But leaving him hanging like that isn't too nice.

I know. I felt very bad for him. He would have made a nice addition to the family - a third brother. Poor Noah.
