Hello everyone,
How are you? Are you doing well? I sure hope that you are!
Well here I go..... I thought that I would try and post a work in progress here in my scraps section as I was hoping for a little feedback on the sketch/so-to-be painting that I'm working on. Here I have an image from my fanfiction, "Transcending Memories: A Bond Unsealed. The image depicts an an emotional Teana cradling a wounded Yami who she found lying on the palace floor. Upon its completion, I plan to include the exact exert from the chapter this image is depicted from. But all that aside, I found myself having a little trouble with this extreme close up shot so before I began the painting stages, I thought maybe I could see what some of you thought of it. I've redrawn several parts of the image in the last few weeks. And in truth I first began this drawing several months ago and I'm only now finishing it due to some difficulty that I had with it. 
But if everything looks ok with it now then I'll go ahead and paint it.

well i mean it.. your work rocks.. wish i could draw like that.. and color.. i cant color at all which is why i prefer balck and white.. lol. but i do love your work..

It's a very nice lineart! Did you already ink it? Or is this pencil? Because either way, it looks really awesome!

I wish I could sketch/lineart this well...;_; When you sketch something, do you make the picture dark or light? ^^

Thank you very much! I'm glad you like it! I really did want to get some feedback on this piece before I began the painting process. So you think it's ok then?
No it's not inked. It was done in pencil though I did adjust the contrast a little bit when I scanned the image. It's a little bit darker because of that. I wanted the image to be clear so again I thought that maybe that would help.
Oh, please don't be so hard on yourself! I honestly don't consider myself a very good sketcher. And you can ask my friend ! I've told her many times that I absolutely hate sketching! I like to have things nice and neat so I get rid of all the sketchy lines before I even present the work! So my "sketches" are really finished pencil drawings/lineart before they finally become paintings. I don't think you should worry yourself, for what I've seen of your work, your line art is very nice!
I'm not sure I understood your question though, what do you mean do I make the picture dark or light??

Teana's arm is a little too wide in my opinion. I think it would look better if the arm were a little thinner, but that's me. ^^ (And I can't figure out the contrast on the scanner XD)
Yeah, my friend's told me to stop it with the "sketchy" lines and if I want to draw something, I have to be utmost certain. XD
Oh, the question? Like, when you sketch, do you apply much pressure so the lines come out dark? Or does the sketch come out with light lines? ^^ I think that's a better question...

And no worries, I learned my lesson after the Yami and Teana collage when I made their skin REALLY REALLY dark. I don't think I've made it so dark since then, have I??

just lighten it up a few tones. I like to think teana as being a "jewel" of the egyptains. that's y she'd so diff. just a thought
