- well, then! enjoy!
- and if you like

-Once you enter Windows Recovery Environment press "Cancel" right away (while it is still scanning)
-Click "Yes" on the warning that pops up
-Click "View advanced options for system recovery and support"
-Select your keyboard types and click "Next>"

Hi, this is really beautiful!

Can you make this animated please (maybe a soft glow for the windows logo)? Or at least, can we add some custom text to it?

When I load it in "Windows 7 Boot Updater", it only shows up as a Complete Image, and I cannot customize it. Please help.

how did u make it so that it would be 16:9 on 1024X768?

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

die77 In reply to a-tacs [2011-08-09 21:04:44 +0000 UTC]

its easy, makes it in 16:9 then resize it to 1024x768, you're done!

nise work, bro
but does it also work with 1680x1050 resolution?
if so, what should I use then?

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

die77 In reply to Chef-of-KH [2011-06-19 04:46:08 +0000 UTC]

1680x1050 is 16:10 so you must try the 1610 one,
but I don't know it will suits well or not since I haven't test it yet on that resolution

thanx, but I already tried both bootskins and the result was the same: I came to the boot manager, choosed windows 7 and my pc reboots (could repair it by system restore)

die77 In reply to Chef-of-KH [2011-07-20 11:37:51 +0000 UTC]

hmm I've tried it to some machine and most of them works very well, but some of them need more than one attempt to made it works, weird huh?

Why is it not possible to make the background image in ex 1366x768px wide?
It doesn't fit the screen at all after applying it...

die77 In reply to vajlent [2011-05-16 15:18:29 +0000 UTC]

die77 In reply to MAAX-g [2011-04-16 08:16:01 +0000 UTC]

yes, you need win7bootupdater to apply that, the link is on description
but beware, cause the tool is still alpha and I can guarantee its not gonna mess with your system, but mostly it'll work

Interestingly this tool broke my Windows 7 Pro x64 completely. No amount of WRE fiddling would do.

Ah, well...

super1828 In reply to eddieroolz [2011-05-12 04:34:28 +0000 UTC]

my too lucky i was able to restore it with my recovery disk
i think its only on 64 bit pc cuz thats what append to mine

👍: 0 ⏩: 0

die77 In reply to eddieroolz [2011-04-15 10:55:03 +0000 UTC]

what windows do you have?
mostly, oem user got failed because of their 'different' reserved partition, I don't know its just my personal opinion though, otherwise normally installed windows with 100mb reserved partition just works fine so far.

anyway, the tool is still a beta

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

eddieroolz In reply to die77 [2011-04-15 18:10:40 +0000 UTC]

Nah, its a clean installation by me with that reserved partition there. I realize the tool is in beta, so not putting any blame on you or anything, but just simply reporting that it didn't work in my case.

Would've looked great if it worked, it's too bad.

hmm, hope the future release would be stable for everyone, but yeah its still alpha and we can't help it

super1828 In reply to die77 [2011-05-12 04:35:42 +0000 UTC]

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

die77 In reply to super1828 [2011-05-16 15:20:21 +0000 UTC]

nah, its not because of the bit issue, cause ive managed to installed it on many 64bit installed machine

hi, i've downloaded your files, but when i load the bs7, only the blue background loaded and not the centre image. i loaded 16:10 afterward just to make sure but still fail. wonder if you could provide the original image, or make the loading circle more '8'ish..

so windows logo is not animated right?its a static background image with the loading circle?

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

die77 In reply to andreascy [2011-04-01 15:13:05 +0000 UTC]

yep, I don't know what animation will suits this background

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

andreascy In reply to die77 [2011-04-01 15:55:45 +0000 UTC]

i think the best thing for boot screen was to have any image u want for background and also the animation..and perhaps an animated logon also, not only static images..like those flashy logons from front motion..unfortunately those were for xp..windows 7 does not support this

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

die77 In reply to andreascy [2011-04-02 05:33:42 +0000 UTC]

well, maybe someone will figure this out someday
