Luke from my series STRIFE:

Backstory:

For all his life, Luke has been fighting for every inch of respect he can get. Growing up an orphan, he learned at an early age that strength, hustle, and cunning could get him much farther in life than the other kids who depended on family. Using this attitude to define his life, Luke soon found himself entering local fight clubs which paid out enough to keep his loner lifestyle going. Luke enjoyed the fights so much he would watch and read any martial arts training material he could get his hands on, absorbing anything he thought was useful and discarding everything else.

As Luke grew older his name and reputation as a local champion within the fighting circuits brought him renown far and wide. He soon found himself being sought after by all sorts of traveling martial artists who wanted to defeat the street fighting legend who wielded an unusual blend of combat techniques.
