Description Please forgive the lame title.

This is what you get when I'm playing around with my computer at two in the morning. I didn't use any reference until I started the more Sugimori-like drawings, in which I realized that I screwed up completely on his vest.

Now that I have noticed my error, hopefully you won't see that mistake from me again. I just had fun with this one; all the colors were made up and the Japanese characters read: "Kouki(kun)+ Naetoru" which is "Lucas and Turtwig" if you use the dub names.

It the picture that shows him up close, his neck is pulling his head back. In the picture below, it's showing that it is because Turtiwig is pulling his scarf. 
But ..... where's his scarf in the top picture?  He's not .... wearing it on his neck ... ' -'

Well, I tend to fav' everything that please me, and as the small view was cute (and pokemon-esque [see? OnO I can't help but use "esque" everywhere!]) and since I actually like Kouki's poses and all... I still faved it x3
Plus, your deviations are always great in my point of view, so it seems natural.
(And, heck, Pokemon! 8D )

I love how you can get that feeling without seeing the character's face, too! My Sugimori style is tweaked from his for DPPt, but I think that's what makes it fun.

xD Ah! I totally forgot that I had written that... It's literally 'E(tsu)--?' but the tsu is silent, and it lenthens the e, so it's pronounced, 'Eh--?

I'm happy that you like it! When I imagined Turtwig pulling on the scarf, it came out a little differently than I had thought. I need to practice with proportions.

Yes, coloring is like the best part, because the pictures really come alive with color! :3

It looks fine to me. :3 Your proportions are already WAY better than mine. XD But, you can only get better with time, so don't fret to much about it.

It was the first time I'd drawn Turtwig with reference; I've found I really like that shell.
