Description Here it is, the sequel to my piece Besiege.

It was only a matter of time that mars would be hit by large asteroids. The time is now.

I hope you enjoy.

I appologize if this comes out twice. 'Page not found' error after I clicked on the submit button...

Totally wicked, man. Asteroids are your thing, aren't they? Damned good style ya got here. This is an exceptional piece that I feel deserves all the attention it can get. There's an excellent flow to this piece. I, personally, love chaotic illustrations...but this piece is different. Even thought it's chaotic it is also intricately organized.

Awesome cataclysmic vision! I think you exceeded yourself, you did tremendous work here. The lighting on all bodies seems very well done and it is so detailed all over.
It may not be felt so by us, human beings, but these are true moments of creation in the universe. Earth went thru such a destruction/creation process and, who knows, maybe we wouldn't be here today if it hadn't happen.
Just fantastic!

this does not look real, work more on the realistic area and darken the planet more

it would be impossible to make this look real

Its pretty cool, at least it has something to differentiate it from countless other spacescapes. One thing tho, i think the earth (the smaller planet?) should have a bit of focus blur on it, but thats all i can really see.

They aren't very realistic.

Greg Martin has some very nice articles on stars and making them more realistic. You oughta check them out.

revers3volution In reply to spencerm [2004-07-08 23:47:24 +0000 UTC]

not all starfeilds have to look like greg martin's O__o

spencerm In reply to revers3volution [2004-07-09 01:26:21 +0000 UTC]

That's not what I was saying...Maybe it's just me, but I think that this was supposed to be a more realistic looking piece. The starfield is not realistic. Greg Martin makes photorealistic starfields. He has written articles with tips for making these realistic starfields. I suggested that he check out those tutorials.

It was a suggestion; a tip for making realistic starfields.
