Nera is very friendly and polite. She is peace-loving, dislikes violence in general and seeks to avoid arguments whenever they might arose. This often leads to her avoiding to step up for herself and being pushed around by other people. While Nera trusts in what other tell her (some say trusts others too easily) and in her own abilities, she hardly lets anybody know what she is really thinking or feeling. "No worries, I'm fine" is probably her most used lie. She would also never admit being a witch to someone unless there is undeniable evidence.
Nera rather heals than hurts and takes the Hippocratic Oath very seriously. She would disregard her own well-being to save another person's life and even heal her worst enemy if the necessity arises though she might be a bit rougher on them than to others. She is fine with being an unnoticed part of the background instead of seeking the spotlight, even when it's her doing that saved a life, she would only mutter "it's nothing special" and vanish. Being the center of attention is something that is guaranteed to make her uncomfortable.

History:
Nera grew up in a family that appeared to be an average human family. Her father is a human while her mother was a witch. She taught her daughter everything she knew about witchcraft and the necessity to hide it. It was not always easy for Nera to keep her being a witch secret, but she did her best to pretend she was just an ordinary girl, like her classmates.

Nera's mother died when Nera was about 15. Though her father told everybody it was an unfortunate accident, Nera knows her mother got killed by a gang of hunters under the influence of drugs or alcohol or both, simply because she was a witch. They didn't care to make a difference between light and dark ones. At first, Nera wanted bloody revenge on the murderers and prepared several spells and rituals that could help her, including the aid of evil spirits. But her father could convince her to stop before she could do something she would regret for a lifetime afterwards. As far as Nera knows, those hunters responsible for the death of her mother were severely punished by the council.
Since then, Nera had tried to keep a low profile. She began focusing on helping people so that they would not suffer from loss and became a nurse in the local hospital. She used to live on her own in a small apartment filled with plants (hobby botanist) and barely developed her abilities in order to keep a low profile.

One day, she came from from a night shift and found her place wrecked. Someone had broken in and turned everything upside down. There was not a single plant pot unbroken, trodden green and brown littered the whole floor. Whoever had entered the place, Nera was sure they had been searching for something. Why else would they rummage every possible hiding place including soil? With trembling hands, she called her father and then the police. There was no way she could stay in her apartment. Not only because it was under investigation, but mostly because she felt no longer save there. The thieves stole as much of value as possible, though it was not as much as they might have hoped: a barely used T.V., an aged laptop, a bit of cash, some of her better clothes and the few pieces of jewellery Nera owned. The investigations did not take long and the door was repaired mere hours after the police was called. Still, Nera refused to stay there. She also declined her father's offer to stay at his place until she found something new. There was only one place she could go to and feel save again and she was sure she would not be rejected. Even though she had never lived there so far, she knew the address by heart.
The witch packed her remaining belongings and set off for the coven.
Long Version

EXTRAFamily:
Her father is her only family left and the only human who knows that Nera is a witch. He keeps that knowledge secret from his new wife as well as Nera's step-siblings. They would like to include her, but Nera usually stays away on her own accords, unwilling to bother them with her presence. It is unknown to her if there are relatives from her mother's side, so far she doesn't know a single one.

Magic:
Nera's strongest field of magic is healing magic. At her current level, it isn't yet noticeably strong though. She uses them mostly to let the wounds of her patients heal a bit faster than normal, to reduce the itching of scabbed wounds or scars, to soothe pain, or to simply make them feel a little better.
