Ahh this is what I thought. Its really not a photomanip then. Its a digital darkroom overlay enhancement if anything. I do what you have done quite often. This has been done since the beginnings of photography. Enhancing the image to better express what it was we felt when taking it.
A photomanip, as described by DA, is an image that is made up from two or more entirely different images joined together.
