Description Scar from The Lion King, which in my opinion is the best thing Disney has ever made

My favourite Disney villain and probably my favourite Disney character.

I copied a pic I found for reference, just tried to make him look a little more evil

(Scar belongs to Disney)

I wouldn't say he's my favourite since that would have to be Shere Khan but Scar is definitely one of the best Disney Villains and I think you've done a very nice job with drawing him here.

You did a great job keeping him in character!! It's perfect, and a beautiful piece of art of "My favourite Disney villain and probably my favourite Disney character." (He's mine too...) And The lion King does have to be one of the best things Disney ever created, if not the best.

Thank you, I appreciate it a lot I've wanted to draw him for ages. I on't think Disney has done anything quite as good since. I watched it last week for the first time in about 2 years I remember going to see it when I was like 10 years old and I fell in love with the movie

My pleasure. I don't think it's possible for Disney to do anything as good as "The Lion King" ever again! I watched it a few weeks ago with my sister and fell in love with it all over again and remembered seeing it for the first time when I was a really little kid. If you ever get the chance, you should see "The Festival of the Lion King" in Walt Disney World's Animal Kingdom. It's really good.

I also think modern Disney films have real villains in anymore, not like they used to anyway.
Is that part of Disney world? I did look it up. I'd love to take a trip to Disney world, probably when I have kids maybe I do live in the UK so it's further to go

You're right, they don't.
Yep, it is. If you can, you should. It's a really fun place. I guess I'm really lucky; I live in the U.S.A. close enough that my family can take annual trips to Disney World. My parents love Disney, so they take my sister and I to the parks whenever they can. It's well worth the trip.

Good. That's the BEST way to raise kids, Disney and Marvel comics. Two of the awesomest things ever!! It's too bad many of today's kids don't know the magic of the old Disney movies. Some movies today are alright, but Disney channel doesn't have the same magic that the older movies do. At least, it doesn't here in the U.S. I'm not sure about it in the U.K.

dimebagsdarrell In reply to Lisha3398 [2011-07-01 19:44:32 +0000 UTC]

And funny cos Marevl were bought by Disney last year
Nah they don't have the same magic now. I think the last really good movie they did was Finding Nemo. But sometimes I think that they care more about special effects than story lines. I remember going to see films like Pocahontas and Beauty and the Beast Nothing quite like them now. It's all computer generated now.

Lisha3398 In reply to dimebagsdarrell [2011-07-01 19:55:15 +0000 UTC]

Oh really?! I didn't know that!
I think that "Tangled" was okay, but it was computer generated. I think that Disney seems to care more about the money than the magic. Whatever will make them money fast is what they'll make. But they doesn't teach the life lessons that the older movies do. I wasn't alive when those movies were released in theatres, but I do remember watching them with my parents when I was little. Unfortunately, Disney doesn't make those kinds of movies anymore, or at least not in the same way they used to.

They did, but I don't think they've made any real changes to Marvel.
I remember the first movie I ever went to see was The Little Mermaid. They definitely don't have the same morels. I like the older pixar stuff though, like Toy Story and Monsters Inc. I feel old now seeing those movies when I was a kid

Cool!
I can't remember the first Disney movie I saw. No, they don't. Today's shows sometimes don't have good morals at all. The classic Disney movies raises kids right, and they don't even know it until they look back. The movies teach them friendship, understanding, love, all those good morals that kids need. Now what are they taught? Nothing anywhere close to the morals of the classics.

dimebagsdarrell In reply to Lisha3398 [2011-07-01 20:19:21 +0000 UTC]

Very true. And not just Disney, I remember other movies when I was a kid that had good morals Like Balto [link] if you've seen that. I really liked the Shrek movies as well, more recent but I thought there was some pretty good morals in there.

I saw Balto in class in fourth grade I think... The Shrek movies are also amazing. Dream Works is catching up in the movie industry. There were good morals in Shrek. Many movies have those good morals, but they're not as common as they used to be.
