Now, before anyone starts going on about the mistakes in this picture... do consider the following things
1) I unlike some of you, is in highschool. TJ, to be exact. But I'm also in a handful of other activities that force me to draw in the worst conditions.. aka. on the bus.
2) I am trying to get good grades... I don't have much time at all to draw
3) I've started this on a burst of inspiration, I ended this on the thought that my friend needed to see her birthday present BY HER BIRTHDAY.
4) This is my first attempt at something.. manga-like ok?

note: do remember that my scanner puts the HORRID blue mark across the page.

My own comments: I'm actually half-happy with it, but due to that fact that it took me about.. 4 hours over the course of 2 weeks, even in those plastic folders, it STILL SMEARS. so, the face of the guy (yes it's a guy) turned out rather.. smoky. THe girl's hair is very.. chunky.. yea.. no idea why. ^_^;; The background for the first panel. I KNOW IT"S LIKE. EW>. but, I took out my room's supply of.. cylinders. and tried to make.. something to fill out the horrid white space. the plushie looks like a voodoo doll, I'm sorry. ^_^;; the folds look like eww.

this is my first attempt at something.. manga-like. and I know it sucks. IT SUCK. ok. it sucks.

Don't you love how the shading effort decreases as you go down the panels? lovely isn't it? but.. the plushie was done COMPLETELy on a moving bus. -__-

I'm experimenting more and more with different angles now.. profiles..back.. front.. it's getting more interesting. of course, until I figured out during doodling in geometry that I can no longer do 3 quarter eyes... ^__^;;

Used: mechanical pencils.. borrowed pencils... pencils I've lost... random pencils. ^_^;; Added border lines in Paint MS (all I have to edit stuff with)

P.s.: STORYLINE (for those who can't understand my bad mini-comic) the girl's giving the guy a present, the guy opens the present, the guy is surprised, the present is a plushie of the guy
