You all might remember this guy from this recent drawing. I was going to wait until I could get Rina's new ref finished, but it felt awkward keeping him in the shadows for much longer... and yeah

A bit about him:
Avin is an aimless wanderer, just moony natured in general. Content to spend his days laying about somewhere watching little critters around him, the swaying of trees and plants or the passing of the night sky. He likes people and being around others but doesn't feel any pressure to stay around them, often following his itchy feet wherever they lead.

You'd be hard pressed to get more than a few sentences out of him at any one point. He learned early that loose lips get you in worlds of trouble and most don't want to hear what's being said anyway. But he loves to listen, especially if he finds someone excited to talk about something. Those conversations (though a little one sided) make him the happiest.
But being able to share a quiet moment is just as good to him.

Strangers find him rather hard to read, the glow makes it near impossible to tell what his eyes are doing and just by looking at him you might think the worst. Those claws aren't just for show after all, you just might not assume he'd rather use them to climb a tree than hurt anyone.

Why bother with that nonsense when there's a perfectly good field to lay in and clouds/stars to watch?

His fiend design is based off a mix of a bear and lion. It represents insatiable hunger and irritation(the kind that easily leads to rage and violence). But he has far better control over these qualities than most leading to nonlethal encounters... usually.

Some extra things about his design.
His eyes are normal looking under the glow, just a combination of super pale purples (even the sclera).
The glowing eyes are part of his traits, but if you can't or just don't want to do glowing effects making his eyes solid white or normal pale purple is just as good.
The earring is a silver (like the chains) gauge and is the only part he can't take out. The black hoop/bar and jewel part can be switched up however you want.
His ears are positioned at the same level as a humans ears and can move up or down independently.
No chains/shackles = fiend form.

How he met Rina:
Avin wandering took him deep into the forest covered mountains where most struggle to go. He stumbled across scent and tracks first, curiosity getting the best of him... but no matter which set he followed they all lead him back the way he'd come, out and away from something, and there was their mistake.

Doubling back it wasn't too hard to find what they were trying to keep him from. A beautiful little village seemingly untouched by time or outside influence. Avin could feel the faint pull of ethereal magic lacing like delicate spider threads across to every corner. So it was one of his own that protected here. He'd had his suspicions.

Deciding to leave well enough alone he turned away before he could be spotted and there she was, blending in perfectly to the mottled greenery and shadows around her, watching him.

The longer he staid in that patch of forest, the more he encountered her. They barely shared a handful of words, but they didn't need to, both content with the peace and quiet. As trust grew, so did their relationship.

Well that turned into a bit of a novel, I'm not a writer but hopefully the gist of it gets across XD Rina will get a similar update to her story when her new ref comes out so if you want to see her POV in all this it'll be out soon... or soon-ish I'm so SLOW at all this!
